David Mitchell slur

In the R4 programme The Unbelievable Truth it was mentioned at wolf packs are lead by the strongest sexual predator. The chair, David Mitchell, then said 'as are the cubs'. There was a tiny amount of background laughter.

He's previously seemed witty, intelligent and educated. He has made an unpleasant snide joke of all the hardworking volunteers who put time and energy into providing activities for young people. I feel shocked and angry.

I hope that he'll make a very public apology and that the BBC makes some financial recompense for broadcasting this cheap and vile comment.

I heard it. It was amusing, not “laugh out loud” funny - which is why it didn’t cause lots of laughter.
There was no malice towards Cub leaders. I think it’s unlikely anyone would have been offended.
