Prince Harry said earlier in the week that social media is as addictive for kids as drugs and alcohol. They can be bullied and become anxious and depressed.
Instagram seems to be the worst apparently, although he didn't mention that by name.
However, AIBU to expect Harry and Meghan with all their virtue-signalling, to be less hypocritical? The Sussexes have just set up an Instagram account and already have over 3 million followers apparently !!! Is this not blatant hypocrisy?
Before this, Harry's topic was a climate change lecture to young people while he and Meghan zipped about in private jets for her baby shower and his trip back for Valentine's Day.
I have always been very fond of Harry but since he has become New Agey and got on various soapboxes, they both have had a marvellous chance to practise what they preach..... but are not doing it.
I'm disappointed in him.

see ya!
I've just joined. Not sure I'm staying. A bit too negative for me.

I think it is possibly to keep some semblance of a " low profile" for the Royals. They must be under such scrutiny and all sorts of security threats we know nothing about.
It is also possible for them to care about people, the environment and so on.
Obviously I don't know Harry but there was a stage when he actually seemed to doing something. Their money spending is beyond a joke now though.
It sadly is a trait of this Country to build them up to knock them down
Many, many of us don't build them up and wish they would quietly, and without a fanfare of trumpets, slink back to their grand homes and quit preaching.
I remeber the days when the monarchy was dignified and had an air of mystique. The family were just as rich but they made it known that the hoi palloi had to be kept at arms length.
Harry and Meghan pretending to be down wiv da kids and street wise make me want to puke and become a roaring republican. (Trouble is, I like her Maj and have time for Charles and Anne - your snooty royals.) Look at how Edward and Sophie keep themselves to themselves, as do, more and more, William and Katherine.
Harry and wife are becoming more Hollywood brash it seems to me. And their wealth and privilege is being flaunted too. I see the end for the Windsors if they can't rein/reign it in. Pun intended.
Does anyone realy believe when they stay in a hotel they just book one room ? Security wouldn’t allow it.
Ugh, it's their virtue signalling that makes me feel sick.
I am another seeing Harry in a new light.
They want a better world - hmm. Laudable, but the one they inhabit is like no other, with riches and privileges galore and they take every advantage of them whilst preaching to the masses. Will we be tugging forelocks again before long?
Harry is behaving lately like a celebrity with a trophy wife. His trophy wife is a simpering "save the world" second rate soap star, pontificating from a palace.
I wish the pair of them would wear crowns all day long so we see them as they are, and stop preaching to the 'poor people' before being whisked away in a chauffeur driven car or a private jet. It's becoming patronising and insulting.
I agree Paddyann, but it does go on in every hamlet, village town & city ?
that is true Bridgeit but most of us aren't on a world stage telling others NOT to do the things we do ..while having no intention of changing our own behaviour .
Use to like him but not anymore and I agree with the point about double standards. It is only going to get worse after the baby is born.
Live and let live!
Quizqueen what has being vegan or new age got to do with wanting a pain free birth? Another stupid comment that I find offensive.
I'm at a loss and fed up them (as I am with Brexit) already. I really do not want to know anything more on them.
It’s all been done before in Royal History, nothing new except the names.
Nothing new in how the general public, likes ,dislikes, dissects, adores, etc etc , no different than how Joe Public follows film stars, models etc etc.
It sadly is a trait of this Country to build them up to knock them down
If you don’t want to see it, don’t watch it.
I think perhaps that it’s a shame Harry chose Meghan to be his wife. Initially I was pleased for him, he seemed to have found his soulmate, and after his very difficult childhood, I felt he deserved to be happy. However in choosing Meghan he seems to have chosen a rather self willed and selfish person, who purports to be exactly the opposite of that, if the stories of her tantrums are true, she would appear to be extremely selfish and demanding. It is true that she worked hard and became wealthy in her own right, but the wealth she has fallen into far surpasses any wealth she could have hoped to have earned for herself. And I don’t think she has the first idea of the duty required and the restrictions that are placed upon the royal family in return for their very privileged lifestyle. The recent incident where apparently Prince Charles had to have a private word with her about not wearing a tiara in Fiji rather well illustrates her total lack of understanding and her narcissism.
I just want to clear up something from my earlier comment about climate change.
A few years back there was a survey which showed that your contribution to climate change rises quickly if you take a flight of any kind and no amount of reusing, recycling and insulating etc can possibly make up for it. Even our annual holiday abroad or business trip makes us guilty.
My point was that people who take private flights for something like a baby shower should not even attempt to lecture the rest of us on climate change.
Added to this is the problem of flaunting wealthy gifts for one child who will never lack material posessions in the current austerity climate when so many children lack basic food and health care.
But then, most rich people with inherited wealth do a bit of that. It makes the ones who don't so much more admirable.
My main thrust was that the Royals are not the only ones and - unlike highly paid celebrities who are more likely to have experienced poorer times earlier in their lives - the more senior royals are trapped in a bubble and very badly advised at times by those who should know better.
harmonygranny. Exactly what I was thinking. Wallis Simpson had come to mind.
Doesn’t the OP statement apply to all of us,? we may be donators to charities , perhaps some of us give our time, and I bet most of us have a TV, , Car, Computer, mobile, (obvs) holidays, washing machine etc.
It is wrong & always has been wrong that there is such in equality but we should not knock others without also looking to ourselves, and perhaps acknowledge that intentions are good & helpful no matter who they come from.
Nothing can make me feel inferior thankyou.
Och ,dont get your knickers in a twist..its as it has always been ..our "betters" telling us how to run our lives while doing the opposite themselves. Its a medieval concept is monarchy ..along with Lords and knights and dont get me started on EMPIRE medals that get handed out like sweeties to celebs and footie players et al .Get rid of the lot of them ,They're only there to make the rest of us inferior ..subjects instead of citizens .
Oh, I give up! They’ve taken it off there now as well!
Ah, try this link instead, and scroll down to the best room in the house....

Perhaps it is time the Queen made Harry Governor General of some far flung outpost. They could have all the privacy they claim to want.
CarlyD7 you evidently did your homework
Too late though. Before posting this morning I checked out the Long Room, which on the hotel website was then showing as available, as I said, for £10,000 per night plus 10% service charge. If you click on the link now you’re told that booking and price details can’t be accessed. I wonder why?
