He wouldn't climb down out of a tree when he was arrested - I would have got him down with a taser.....

Baggs Fri 10-May-19 15:31:23

in court

Baggs Fri 10-May-19 15:30:43

Everyone, humpty? Perhaps people are assuming he needs to be on court to hear and possibly answer the charges against him.

That it has been seen fit to not allow him bail will be based on evidence collected not assumptions.

Oldwoman70 Fri 10-May-19 15:29:43

If he refused to leave the prison why wasn't the hearing done via video link?

humptydumpty Fri 10-May-19 15:27:48

I must admit I agree with vissos, everyone is assuming he's guilty..

sodapop Fri 10-May-19 15:24:09

I couldn't believe he was allowed to do this either. They should add an extra term to his sentence for each refusal. Definitely should be made to attend. It seems he was released in the first place by mistake. Heads should roll for that as well.

Grannyknot Fri 10-May-19 15:19:47

But Vissos let him then contest the allegation against him in court! Part of me admired the judge for setting up the case in his cell that'll show him but a huge part of me despaired that he can refuse to leave his cell! What...?

vissos Fri 10-May-19 15:17:11

I hesitate to say it, in fact I agree with all the above, but... Innocent until proved guilty?

TerriBull Fri 10-May-19 15:11:16

Just read your post Baggs, well that's good, because anything else is a complete farce.

Alima Fri 10-May-19 15:11:15

The whole thing is farcical. Has this happened before now or is it all down to current ideology? A slap is far too good for him.

M0nica Fri 10-May-19 15:09:03

Good.

TerriBull Fri 10-May-19 15:08:51

I do hope his eventual sentence will reflect the appalling crimes he's committed.

Yes I'm with you GG, I don't think he's got a lot of hair so yes I'd drag him there by his goolies. I can't help thinking that in addition to the empowerment he felt by inflicting all manner of terrors on his victims he's relishing a further feeling of control by the scenario that's now playing out.

Baggs Fri 10-May-19 15:05:04

I think I saw on Twitter that it has been decided he can be forced to appear in court.

Elegran Fri 10-May-19 15:02:44

I thought that if he wouldn't turn up to answer legitimate charges he would face being forcible arrested and dragged there? Perhaps he believes that any extra penalties will be small beer compared to the sentence for the crimes. Let's hope he is wrong and he gets more added for being a **ing nuisance to the law as well as a threat to women and children.

tanith Fri 10-May-19 14:59:15

I thought it was too rediculous for words when I read this yesterday just drag him there for goodness sake or would that infringe his human rights. What is that judge thinking?

knickas63 Fri 10-May-19 14:59:12

He should be charged to the full capacity in his absence, with the longest possible sentence. He will not appear to defend himself, so his actions are clearly indefensible.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 10-May-19 14:57:23

Absolutely, drag him by his penis as it seems to be the source of his hideous crimes!!!!!

Elegran Fri 10-May-19 14:57:06

I would charge him with contempt of court and throw the book at him - preferably a large heavy book with reinforced metal corners.

Joseph McCann has committed numerous rapes and sexual assaults on a two week rampage across England, including tying up a mother and raping both her daughter, 17 and son aged just 11. 21 offences altogether, kidnapping, false imprisonment and rape. One victim was a 71 year old woman, one girl was pregnant. Finally he's been caught and is behind bars. However, it seems that he refuses to appear in court shock so the judge, defending solicitor and everybody else involved has to demap to Belmarsh in south east London for a makeshift preliminary hearing. Unprecedented apparently! Why is this piece of shit low life allowed to call the shots? AIBU to think after a string of appalling crimes he's committed he should be dragged into court by his hair if necessary.
