AIBU to think Katie Price should be banned from keeping animals?

Today she ‘sadly’ announced her daughter’s young puppy had died through a tragic accident. She then publicises the fact, I suppose, in order to gain column inches and sympathy. As far as I can tell that is 3 dogs and 3 horses that have died under her ‘care’. She also sold off her pets that she previously had when she needed the money. Does she have no shame? Surely this is the sort of case the RSPCA should be investigating. IMHO she is absolutely disgusting and should be prosecuted forthwith. I am so cross.

Well I feel sorry for her, she made her living initially as titillation on page 3 of those very same tabloids which are now pulling her apart. It must be very hard to move on from being lusted after to being 'past it' and it seems to me that she has been the target of attention seeking men who want the kudos of being with Jordan/Katie Price and then move on after they establish their own 'celebrity status'. There has never been any suggestion that she is anything other than a very loving parent, even if her lifestyle is not as most of us would like. It is very unfair when those tabloids turn on her, but nobody mentions the father of her eldest son who has Prader-Willi Syndrome. She is to be pitied rather than vilified I think.

They're ALL attention seekers, she's not on her own !!
Narcissists the lot of them.

Violettham Fri 24-Jul-20 16:35:44

Blluebelllwould No the RSPCA would rather bother with someone who cares greatly for their horses and take the word of a passerby who wrongly says they are neglected. I agree with all of your post. I am so fed up with all these so called celebrities who have no real talent.

The tabloid press would eat you all for breakfast^

shock
What, when they find out about my shady past?

Not in the papers I read. The tabloid press would eat you all for breakfast. Can you imagine this headlines? And that's before the law suits for libel or defamation of character. You'd better be very careful.

Haha very funny. Given the names and insults hurled at Boris Johnson if you look at the political threads - I don’t think people on here need to be worried about tabloid press. People have stated the truth on here - she is dysfunctional and I feel sorry for her children who bear the brunt of her appalling behaviour.

Oh they have called her more than ‘dysfunctional’. Appalling libel from those who lap up the worst the red tops have to offer. Without a shred of evidence. The tabloids have lawyers who tell them how far they can go without risking a law suit - and even then they get it wrong. So I don’t think a granny from nowhere stands a chance.

Imagine the headlines ?

Well, they're suing an unknown photographer for taking drone pictures of Archie so you won't have long to wait if you're feeling deprived!! grin

Yes I saw that this morning merlot and I couldn't help having a wry smile! I'm fairly sure that on one of the threads about H & M, it was pointed out that once they'd left the UK, they'd be besieged by paparazzi and would have no royal protection. The cynic in me wonders if suing the press in the US will be a source of income in the future.

No Harry and Meghan to scream abuse about? This womans life is hers to live as she wants . She unlike the RF for example doesn't keep her hand out for public money My late mother used to say "when they pay all my bills then they might have some right to tell me how to live my life" maybe you should apply that thought before being such bitter twisted old bats

H&M's lawyers must be rubbing their hands (again)

Katie Price used to be known as the topless model ' Jordan' some years ago.
She always seems insecure to me and an attention seeker.

Chewbacca Fri 24-Jul-20 14:06:45

You're right Callistemon, Harvey is her eldest child. There has been a lot of online abuse about him, some of it really vile, and KP hasbegged that, whilst herlife is open to the media, her cnild should be kept out of the trolling and abuse. I think she started a campaign against online bullying quite recently.

Callistemon Fri 24-Jul-20 14:02:34

A sibling is a brother or sister.
I thought Harvey was Katie Price's child, whom she loves, whose father disappeared off the scene.

Just to avoid any confusion.

Galaxy Fri 24-Jul-20 13:57:22

Well theres the father who has completely ignored him his whole life Ellan.

Lucca Fri 24-Jul-20 13:29:05

So please don’t call me nasty

Lucca Fri 24-Jul-20 13:28:28

EllanVannin

Harvey hasn't been long out of ICU and she's buzzed off to Turkey ! Great mum, eh ? I believe he fought for his life too.

Would anyone here leave a sibling who'd been very ill ? Sounds like you would !

It was YOU who said “sounds as though you would”. NOT ME.

I’ve quoted again

CarlyD7 Fri 24-Jul-20 13:19:01

I'm sure I've read that Harvey lives in a residential home now, so, presumably that's where he's gone back to, whilst she's gone on holiday to Turkey? There have been a lot of animal deaths over a comparatively short time - when I think about how many decades I've had animals and they've all died from natural causes after a long life, it does worry me. Suspect it's not cruelty per se but reflects the chaotic nature of her life which means that they don't get the care they need to keep them safe? Certainly that number of animal deaths needs investigating IMO.

KP has created her own mess ! Nobody had a gun to her head telling her that she must lead this sort of a life. How ridiculous many of you are .

Nothing wrong with Peter Andre's life is there ?? Or her other husbands come to that.

EllanVannin Fri 24-Jul-20 12:55:41

Sparkling, the child hasn't been out of hospital a week !!

EllanVannin Fri 24-Jul-20 12:53:55

Nasty---Lucca. I wouldn't desert a sick animal let alone a human. Her child was in intensive care, lucky to be alive she said a few days ago !

MissAdventure Fri 24-Jul-20 12:50:06

She sounds like plenty of other dysfunctional people, except she is in the public eye.

Nothing said that isn't true, lots of comments in the papers as well
It is so upsetting to read of animals being not looked after, and most of these animals of hers were killed through carelessness

Furret Fri 24-Jul-20 12:28:59

Imagine if the newspapers were send a link to this thread?

Hmm.....

blondenana Fri 24-Jul-20 12:25:06

I think she is a disgrace and no role model for her daughter ,who i read this morning is back with Peter Andre, although i thought she was taking them to Turkey with her and [another] new boyfriend,
Also read the poor puppy was crushed in an electric chair while she was packing in another room,
Poor little thing,i hope she's not allowed anymore pets, and done for neglect, and yes she was warned never to leave a puppy on it's own, too bothered about the holiday with boyfriend,
She might love Harvey ,but always willing to leave him with a carer, to jet off somewhere

Iam64 Fri 24-Jul-20 08:44:37

I read this morning that the pup, a French bulldog, was given to her by a commercial puppy breeding company, that specialises in that breed. The puppy was a gift for KP's 13 year old daughter. The article states the puppy was suffocated when he got stuck in one of those collapsable arm chairs and was fun dead by her 5 year old daughter.
Two things stand out for me. Firstly, the over popularity of French bulldogs, who have numerous health problems. I'm always wary of commercial breeders who are earning mega bugs by breeding puppies from an overly popular breed. It never ends well.
Secondly, I feel a little sorry for KP. Her life seems chaotic and full of drama. Yes, that's down to her but honestly, what a way to live.
So far as I know, a horse in her care died and two of her dogs have been run over in the grounds near her house. I read yesterday that Rachel Johnson ran over their five month old cockapoo puppy when she was arriving at their Dorset home. Luckily, the pup had 'no more' than a broken leg. Ms Johnson states her vet said its not an uncommon occurrence.
