I feel so angry with Meghan & Harry

All the drivel about privacy and they do an interview with Oprah. I feel ashamed for Harry that he feels the need to air his dirty linen in public. What do they get from this? I have no idea. Prince Philip is in hospital and I just feel like saying shame on you both.

I love these threads! grin

It's so secret even the members don't know who they are grin

I like the Illuminati idea though NellG are there secret passages etc to GN HQ. Oooh its so exciting !!!

You could be an associate member LauraNorder but only if you can prove your worth by showing your skills in combat armed with just a crochet hook and a free bus pass.

You may have to donate your winter fuel allowance to the society funds though.

Ooh Ovaltine I thought-will there be biscuits? Then I read the sock bit so no secret society for me.

GagaJo Fri 05-Mar-21 20:59:54

SG's need to be careful. They could end up banned. ?

LauraNorder Fri 05-Mar-21 20:56:50

Sock knitting heh. Well that’s me out.

Possibly. But these obsessive RF threads are drivel, so they cancel each other out.

Machiavellian Nanas, wearing a knot in their nighties, or even their knickers in a twist...

trisher don't worry, they'll call you. You'll be coshed, a hood put over your head and bundled into the back of a van, where you'll be taken to HQ and forced to undertake an initiation ceremony probably involving being doused in Ovaltine and proving your ability to knit a sock - ruining the turning of the heel will get you black balled forever!

LauraNorder Fri 05-Mar-21 20:45:09

I do wear jamas by the way so don’t rule me out yet.

LauraNorder Fri 05-Mar-21 20:44:00

What happens if you wear a nightie? No jams leg to roll up

Marydoll Fri 05-Mar-21 20:43:33

Perhaps you need to be in an inclusive Whatsapp group. That way you can rally the troops at the click of a message. I'm finding this speculation quite intriguing.

The Secret Society of Senior Grans... like a GN Illuminati, covertly pulling the strings of 'lesser' posters whilst they calculate their bid for world domination, muahahahaha...

This place just gets better and better! grin

Is there a secret handshake? And do I have to roll my jama leg up? How do I know if I'm a member? confused

Marydoll Fri 05-Mar-21 20:40:55

I'm following this thread with interest, not because of Meghan and Harry, (couldn't care less), but because I'm dying to know who these Senior Grans with superpowers are. wink

No you’re not bossy enough Kittylester. Can’t be you.

kittylester Fri 05-Mar-21 20:12:26

I might be a Senior gran, I've been here since almost the beginning and I'm 72. I haven't banned anyone!

Because it could threaten the British Constitution.
Although they have survived worse.

It's not a family squabble. Meghan was welcomed warmly by the family by all accounts, it is the protocol, the hierarchy, the institutions which she could not abide and the media intrusion (ironic).

Did nobody tell her? Did H not warn her? Spell it out, even - given what happened with his mother. I am puzzled by the whole shemozzle, tbh.

We don’t have a formal written constitution. And if it destroys the Royal Family, I’ll send them a thank you card.

How can you feel angry about people you don’t even know? I find it very strange.

GagaJo Fri 05-Mar-21 20:01:51

Meghan and Harry are the victims here but the royal family refuse to see it.

I am intrigued as to why they arouse such strong emotions - it all floats by me. It is just a family squabble.
