It's up to you to do your own risk assessment and make your own decision. I'd probably go and try to sit a bit further away, wash my hands, not share anything e.g. crisps and try to enjoy it.
NotTooOld, you are being sensible. Why risk it? I bet there's little ventilation in there. Being fully vaccinated has reassured some people too much. You are still at some risk of a very nasty illness.
I think you are going to have to give it a miss although I presume you are vacinnated but if you are going to worry is it worth it ? I would be quite happy to go especially if I had already spent time indoors with this group but I already go out socially
I think we are all taking our own decisions at the moment. There are quite a few things that I do now which I did not do earlier in the pandemic - I feel that I have had three jabs and I am as safe as I can be for the moment - till a new variant makes its appearance here.
A U3A group I belong to regularly goes to the pub after an evening meeting. It is a small pub and we are a large group so we sit close together around one table for a drink and a chat. This generally lasts for about an hour. I am happy to go to the meeting where we can remain reasonably socially distanced but I don't want to go to the pub where we cannot. Other members seem to have no problem with the pub, so am I being unreasonable?
