just an exchange ?
DH bought 4 yogurts in Aldi this morning. I looked when he got home and SB date on all of them was 1st Dec ?
Took them back this afternoon asked for the manager "he's busy". DH got a grudging apology and replacements. Was I wrong to think a voucher or something would have been nicem

I once brought some paté from Lidle. It was in date but it had green mold on it. So I took it back and the manager moaned at me and was not happy about replacing it. Luckily I had taken a photo of it. Found their facebook page and posted it on there. Found that several people had had the same experience with the paté from the same Lidle and also got a voucher from Lidle.

I also agree a replacement was acceptable in this case. Remiss of them not removing but no harm done exactly. They replaced which is exactly what I would have wanted.

We always shop at lidl for most of our weekly shop but are very careful to check dates. Have seen gammon steaks 10 days out of date, and cauliflowers are always partly black. Sad really just shows poor stock rotation and a useless manager unable to direct staff.
When we lived in a big city all their produce was fresh and in great condition.

OP, why does your husband not check dates; or is he impaired?
