Is it unreasonable to expect vertical window blinds to last more than 5 years?

I had vertical blinds fitted at my 3 living room windows 5 years ago. The tilt n turn facility has failed on one of them, so I rang the firm (Hilary's) to see about getting it fixed.
Oh no, they only supply a complete package new blind, not a repair service.
Am I unreasonable in thinking this is just not 'good enough?

Thank you Meryl and Springychicken. Will show them to DH. Mine are vertical blinds though not horizontal ones.
It seems a bit cheeky to go to a local man and ask him to fix someone's else's mess though.
Serve me right for choosing a big company.

I would go onto my community/neighbourhood social media page and ask people for recommendations. People do this all the time and word of mouth is better than anything.
