Men wearing pink and flowers will not empower women, men wore pink, flowers, lace, frills and perfume in the 18th century - and I don't think it had any effect on women's equality with men. It wasn't until the end of the century that women's role as housekeeper and child-bearer, when her sole purpose was to find a husband, obey him and re-produce, began to change.
The empowerment of women comes from having the same power as men, the same economic freedom.
And, back in the 19th century - many children wore white - it was easier to clean - using bleach. When colours were eventually chosen - pink was for boys, and blue for girls!
