This afternoon when I was in the supermarket. I felt something bunched in the right leg of my cords. I shook my leg and saw last night's pants coming out.
I lent on DH and quickly pulled them out and stuffed them in his pocket. I had to explain, he laughed and asked if I had got any on.
Have you ever done anything similar? I was so embarrassed. shock

Many years ago when I was small me and my DGM were walking to my DA, her DD. It was rather a long walk along a disused railway track about a mile and a half. My DGM was suddenly caught short and needed a wee. She managed to hold it in until we were just outside their back gate. She just stood there and let it flow.
She instantly whipped her undies off, wrung them out and put them in her handbag.
She looked at me and said “don’t tell.”
Well as soon as we got inside it was too much for me and to her embarrassment I blurted out “ Nana peed her knickers”.
Well it all turned out ok as my DA washed them and they were just about dry by the time we left.
This was over 60 years ago but I still remember it vividly to this day.

I really need supervising before I go out of the house

Me too, GrowingOldDisgracefully. As my DGS said when I was complaining that I’d not spotted my favourite dish on a buffet, Didn’t you have a grown up to help you, Nanna?.

Yes that happened to me when I was 16 a nd visiting my boyfriends family for first time. We were in Kings Cross Station and I did a quick step out and stuffed them in my handbag. I was mortified. Itwas in the days before tights.

So embarrassing. I knocked on the door of one the tenants on my patch to discuss repairs and suddenly yesterdays knickers fell out of the leg of my jeans just as the tenant opened the door. I still feel agog at what happened all those years ago.

Haven’t had that happen but I used to work for a calendar company and I had been making the Christmas calendars sprinkling coloured glitter all over them, I went one afternoon to have a smear and you guessed it the nurse laughed when she found pieces of glitter don’t ask me how it got there

Not happened to me but v v funny. My knickers ended up attached to my husband’s referee top when he went to put it on in a changing room full of men. He was rather embarrassed as it was a lacy thong

Once , when I was at work ( I am a GP ) I was wearing trousers.
Half way through the day one of my senior colleagues noticed something dangling out of the right leg of my trousers.
It had obviously been there all morning!
I pulled ....and pulled .....and pulled.
Slowly ,oh so slowly, before my embarrassed eyes and those of colleagues, a pair of yesterday's tights appeared. They stretched as I pulled eventually popping out ,leaving me with them swinging in my hand !
I swiftly rolled them up and walked off to my surgery, head held high !!!
For those of you who are wondering why I was wearing tights under trousers at all ,it was an extremely cold winter that year. !

My elderly grandfather was waiting at the bar in the Catholic Club when his trousers fell to his ankles. He didn't even notice. My brother in law ran over and pulled them back into place. Paddy was wearing his striped pyjamas underneath and was oblivious to the draught. 😁

I’m a bit puzzled how knickers fall down when wearing trousers 🤷🏼‍♀️

Raggletagglegypsy Wed 08-Nov-23 14:32:56

Yes exactly the same but I was sat in front of Gp talking about something and also saw this lump in my trousers just about to fall out. I somehow managed to get outside and pull them out. Hilarious

I have owned Burmese cats in the past one particular was a knicker nicker, she worked out how to open the lower draw and would help herself, so i moved them to the top drawer, silly me this is a Burmese cat I am talking about, she would jump on the dresser and prise open the drawer just enough, there would be a trail of underwear going down the stairs.

Many years ago when we were living in our first house I was horrified to find a dead mouse in the bathroom one morning. I caught the bus to work as usual but when I got there a colleague asked why I was wearing one brown leather and one blue suede shoe! I had no option but to wear them all day raising quite a few eyebrows.

AreWeThereYet Wed 08-Nov-23 15:30:41

Metra I have trouble with shoes too! I once turned up at work with one black shoe with a buckle and one navy shoe, different heel heights too, so I don't know how I didn't notice on my way to work. I also went to Tesco one Winter in one brown and one black boot, much to the amusement of the lady getting out of the car next to me.

I remember as a child walking down the station platform on the way to the theatre for a family outing when my grandma's knicker elastic snapped and they fell round her ankles. Cool as a cucumber she stepped out of them, stuffed them into her handbag and carried on.

Cossy Wed 08-Nov-23 15:52:20

Yes ! Haha It’s happened more than once and always it public !

Freespirit55 Wed 08-Nov-23 16:21:14

Lol oh yes I was dancing on the dance floor when lost a pair and quickly his them

Sooze58 Wed 08-Nov-23 16:27:38

Yes, happened to me several times! 🤣

jocork Wed 08-Nov-23 16:43:00

Never lost my knickers but My mum told me that the elastic snapped in my grandmother's knickers as she walked out of church so she stepped out of them and aske my granddad to pick them up for her.

My embarrassing moment was when I worked as a lab technician. I put a tampon in the pocket of my lab coat and headed to the loo. Unfortunately the tampon fell out of a hole in the pocket and bounced down the corridor while a male colleague said "I think you dropped something."

Probably a lot older than many of the contributors on here, as a child of about 8, we lived in a house where there was a range in the kitchen, which besides various ovens had a long steel type rail right along, on which the tea towel and hand towel usually were kept. No central heating then, and ice ferns on the inside of the windows too especially upstairs. So we were allowed to get washed and then come down in our dressing gowns to eat our breakfast while our underclothes were put on the rail to warm and we dressed after breakfast, cleaned our teeth and went to school - about 3/4 mile walk, Mum had been doing the ironing the afternoon before and said put all the other things on and I will get the clean knickers from the airing cupboard. I was the eldest and was in charge of my sister on the way to school and had to check she was in the proper classroom and that we were not late. We set off to school and after a little while I realized that I had no pants on!! Torn between having no knickers and the possibility of being late for school and making my sister late, I decided I just had to keep going. We had a great junior school and the patterns of the days were not always 100% the same , so spent the whole day hoping that we were not told to do gym - which in those days meant stripping down to your vest and pants! I was thankful to get home safe and sound and never letting anyone outside know about it but of course within our family it became a definite family story never to be forgotten!1

Not lost in supermarket. But came from antenatal appointment with my young son.we boarded the bus and in loud voice only toddlers can use. He said "did you remember to put your knickers back on when you got off that man's bed?" Was a long bus ride

Happened once but being busy at work visiting families I just thought the trousers I was wearing were a bit crumpled. Fortunately getting back into the car a lump showed at the bottom of the leg I had placed in first. Having a look, it was yesterday's knickers. They had been travelling down the leg for the whole day.
