Bottled water

Am I being unreasonable to dislike the amount of bottled water people drink? The UK has the safest tap water in the world and we should be grateful for this. Instead people buy unnecessary, in my view, bottled water and in addition the containers add to the growing mountain of plastic which also worries me.

Something I read a few years ago has stuck in my mind ever since. Just about every single piece of plastic that I and every other person in the world has ever touched is still in existence somewhere. A sobering thought.

People in Brixham are still using bottle water. It's been weeks now. Cryptosporidium is very difficult to get rid of from the pipework. Normal filters don't get rid of it eg Britax. Over 100 people very very ill for weeks now.

I know that British tap water is safe, but i dislike drinking it. I much prefer drinkl8ng sparkling water which has a better taste.

I will not drink water out of the tap, I can taste the chlorine in it. I always buy bottled water in glass bottles, not plastic, it is more expensive than plastic but I absolutely hate tap water. It never used to taste so much of chlorine in the past, it tastes very bleachy now, if that is a word.

When I go out for a meal I ask for a bottle of water and when it comes, straight out of the fridge, it is delicious with a sprig of mint in it.

I drink tap water at home and in restaurants.

I drink tap water all the time . I have kidney problems and have to drink loads of water . I have a filter in my fridge which dispenses cold water
And I have a chilli bottle which keeps it cold .
I never buy bottled water unless I’m on holiday abroad as I don’t want to get ill. Sometimes it’s the mineral content that upsets tummies. Rather than dirty water .
In restaurants I always ask for a jug of tap water as I think bottled water in restaurants is a rip off . I’ve worked in bars and restaurants and I know what they pay for water .

BigMamma the tap water on this estate tastes and smells strongly of chlorine especially first thing.
We are close to a water tower.
