I think this is less sinister but a little odd.

That sounds very sinister, never mind simply creepy.

When I think what AI can do now sweeping information etc, I would be very reluctant to take part. I belong to a group for mindfulness and once a month we get a set of questions to answer i.e. How are you feeling today? Once I put the set of questions into Co Pilot and gave it all the instructions to answer my PDF. It did the job so well, I felt redundant! Be very careful!

Well, I asked the OP that question on one of the many threads-asking-questions.

I didn't make any accusations - just simply asked what was the purpose of asking numerous ?s.

I did get a reply, but not from the OP... another poster appears to have taken issue with the fact I asked!

The many posts may be completely harmless, but Google AI warns to be cautious about the responses and information you decide to share. I think that's quite legitimate, and sensible.

The answers can be quite interesting, but if the OP asking the questions came back on thread to comment or engaged in other threads it might help us believe they were genuine.

Some are so silly I don't answer, but I have answered a few, my passwords are so random even I often don't remember them and have to keep resetting, I do enjoy gadgets folk find good,recipes,easy ways to do things(my favourite) and so I feel I should contribute something

Guilty of answering those threads. But it's the ones on this forum that the OP is asking for your advice . I gave mine and got slated for it. Had my character assassinated . Most of the names here have been on GN long time like me. The thread I answered most of the names where new.

One thread asking for lists tanith turned out to be AI generated and was deleted by GNHQ. Turned out it was a marketing company who wanted to know what ads to put on GN.

Its sad we have got to a stage where we have to become suspicious of every new thread. Sticking to ones I have been on for years at least I know they are genuine.
