Men asking questions from another room!

It's not only men....DD has the exact same habit and even shouting back to her "No, Can't hear you" is no deterrent.

She says it's while the query is on her mind so she doesn't get distracted & forget what she was going to ask, which is fair enough I suppose but still very annoying.

I hear DH when he does that, but my selective hearing decides whether I want to respond or do as he’s asking.

Same in our house! Drives me potty. I'm expected to get up and go to wherever he is. I keep telling him to book a hearing test but he just smiles. He'll happily go to the opticians but won't admit he's hard of hearing.

Oldnproud I could have written that myself!

I know too. My OH does this.

What most annoys me about it is that he is very hard of hearing now, so even if I can hear him, there is no way he will hear my reply!

What I haven't worked out yet is whether he 'forgets' that he won't hear my answer, or if he actually expects me to get up and go through to whichever room he is in.

Whichever it is, it is frustrating, though almost certainly as much so for him as for me.

Haha I know. Mine does it all the time. It’s very annoying.

AIBU? My husband never seems to learn! He asks me questions all the time from another room. I can’t hear him although I am not deaf. I have told him multiple times to come to where I am but no he still calls from another room. Rant over!!!
I heard Harry Rednapps wife say the same years ago.
