Dirty Tables in restaurants

Over the last few weeks I visited a restaurant and the table was very sticky. It was so bad my glass of water was almost welded to the table.It was obvious it hadn't been cleaned for some time. In another cafe I watched staff clear away used plates but left spilt food and drink, then returned to their conversation with other staff. In a coffee shop I observed staff use a wet cloth to wipe 8 tables in succession with no cleaning spray. It puts me off eating out with all the bacteria on the tables.
