Good idea, jane. If I can't get a copy at our local village shop tomorrow, I'll try that. Actually, I did that once before, many years ago. Had cut out and kept a pattern for a fairisle jumper for several years before I got round to knitting the garment. Then I realised some of the pattern was missing. I wrote and asked if they could send me the whole thing and they did.
Also, I have a very old copy og the mag as it happens. My sister gave it to me because it contains a photo of the child of one of her friends wearing a snowman jumper (also a WW pattern) that I'd knitted for DD1 back in the mid-eighties. DD2 wore it when DD1 grew out of it, then all four of my sister's children wore it in turn, and she had handed it on to this friend. So in the late nineties my snowman jumper was still going strong and onto its seventh wearer!
