Loom knitting

I have looked on uTube, seems chunky wool is used , I don’t like thicker than DK.

So sorry not have responded Anniebach, personally I'd use different size looms.

I looked at them when this thread started Jalima, not like the looms we used in school , on Amazon and Hobbycraft , demonstrations on uTube , need socks and scarf ready for scooter riding !

May I ask if socks and scarves can by knitted on the same frame?

I'm halfway through the second sock of a pair of socks for my husband. I love loom knitting! I find it hard to keep tension when doing crochet now due to arthritis, but I can loom knit without a problem

I would think so Annie. I think you'd just stop and cast off or whatever but what the heck do I know really. My friend is doing a scarf to begin with.

It does look simple and easy to get lost in. My friend is much more capable at craft type things than I but I think I could maybe cope!

We were just talking about these at Knit and Natter this week. One lady is just learning to knit and has mastered the knit stitch. She was wondering if she should invest in a knitting look and wanted our input. We all said go for it, then bring it with you to show us.?

Well, I’ve just googled it and it looks like a huge ‘French knitting’ thingy that we did when children with an old Cotton reel! I wonder why we never tried it with anything bigger. Looks easy though and lots of how to videos

I have never heard of loom knitting kitty - I am going to look into it and get back to you. But it sounds very interesting!
