Witzend Mon 09-Mar-20 23:26:41 case anybody’s interested.
A little chick with its egg in two halves. Quite small, chick about 3”, egg about 5”.
I found it on the Alan Dart website, free to download.
Going to make one each for Gdcs, will probably add some mini chocolate eggs inside.

I’ve finished the first egg - it’s definitely going to need stiffening with hairspray, which is optional according to the pattern. Otherwise it’s going to be a very floppy egg! I’ve done the hairspray-stiffening thing before with a couple of his patterns, it works very well.

I'm not sure what yarn you're using, Witzend and you probably have a good supply, but I wondered if Paton's Smoothie would be a bit less floppy.

It does tend to split and is not the easiest to work with but the result is firmer.
