How to increase in Blackberry stitch, can anybody help please

Now then, as I said in my opening thread, this is a jumper for my sister and I have the perfect solution. I am going to get out my knitting machine, the body is plain st.st.. and I shall use a different stitch on the sleeves. Problem sorted. I know, it is cheating. But, to make it even easier, my sister wants me to show her how to use the machine because it is so long since she used one. She can knit it herself !!!

Shaping when knitting blackberry stitch (or any when stitches are made) formula: do your shaping decrease and then make sure every pattern increased stitch has a corresponding pattern decreased stitch

I enjoy knitting blackberry stitch too EV, but this shaping thing has me stumped

When my mum knitted for my D's it was nearly always in blackberry stitch She enjoyed her knitting though
