Younger Gdd was 2 in early January, so I was thinking of giving her a little ‘half birthday’ present when it’s Gds’ birthday in July.
Just how cute is this? Found it half an hour ago - only 6 inches (15 cm) so perfect for little hands.
I’ve just downloaded the pattern.

I always make a few items for the Gdcs’ school C-word fair raffle in late Nov or early Dec. They’ve always been Christmassy things though.

Or chocolate, singhkamleshh01!

I’m sure you’re right. Yesterday I ordered yet more yarn - having finished the bunny’s basket except for the handles, I was very annoyingly just a yard or two short.
But I didn’t just order that colour - I had one or two future projects in mind.
(I had to make it worth the postage charge, of course…)

I think we knitters have an addictive gene, don't you? Still, it has to be better than drugs or booze!

Thanks, LindaPat, you’ve given me an idea there!

I always make a few items for the Gdcs’ school C-word fair raffle in late Nov or early Dec. They’ve always been Christmassy things though.

The bunnies wouldn’t do for raffle prizes but dd will be running the raffle stall again, so I’m thinking of a mini side stall with maybe half a dozen at a fiver each - from what I’ve seen at such fairs you can’t charge much for craft items or they just don’t sell - all proceeds for the school pot.

I can’t help thinking they’d probably go down well.
At any rate that’d keep me busy once the current WIPs and the usual raffle items are finished!

Thank you for this Witzend, it will be perfect for a Christmas gift I can make in advance.

Take care xx

I have downloaded the pattern too, it will be my next but one project.

Thank you Witzend, I will look for it now.
My youngest DGC is even older than that but goes to bed with an array of soft toys smile

I would love one just for me!

CraftyGranny Tue 08-Feb-22 13:09:19

In fact, on the one occasion I actually completed attaching the legs to the body, poor old Pooh looked like he needed to see an orthopaedic surgeon grin

Zoejory Tue 08-Feb-22 13:04:06

Witzend, that is absolutely adorable.

I would like one for me! If only I'd paid more attention to my Grandma when she tried to teach me!

CraftyGranny Tue 08-Feb-22 13:00:37

I will Witzend. It is crocheted and I have never seen a pattern so complicated. the arms and legs are done first, then stuffed. When doing the body the legs and arms are crocheted in as you go along. I have unpicked this part of the body so many times, and again yesterday because I can't seem to maintain the number of stitches the pattern say should be after each row. I will not be beaten!!!

I mean DGD but I think DD would like it too ?

Now wondering whether I should make two - elder Gdd will be 7 and although she’s heavily into Barbies I rather think she wouldn’t say no.

The pattern is downloadable from the Lovecrafts website, in case anyone would like to know.

Please show us your Winnie The Pooh once finished, CraftyGranny!

Gorgeous Witzend as is all of your work. I know a little girl who would love this and, I have endless amounts of stash to use up!
First though I have to finish Winnie the Pooh for said little girl.

Witzend

So that’s even more yarn just ordered, when I’m supposed to be using up my vast stash for the big rainbow blanket, but heigh ho and sod it.
All a good excuse for ignoring housework, anyway!

?

It's a really cute pattern, I think even my older DD would love it.
