It’s so annoying isn't it?
I had a similar problem with an Icelandic wool with a name like Alaflosslopi or something. I had assorted balls left over after knitting two huge throws for the D’s during the pandemic.
It’s not cheap so I thought I might use the neutrals and perhaps add a few balls of an accent colour when it just disappeared!
I have now sourced some, about a year later and need to restart my knitting. All I would say is keep persevering, eBay, Amazon, your local Facebook page or Facebook marketplace and of course charity shops.
You could post a reminder every so often here on GN or perhaps someone with a wider knowledge of knitting wools than me, will come up with a suitable alternative.
