He’s huge! About 65 cm, top of head to toes. Big and fat and cuddly for the children he’s intended for.

Is he huge (in the first picture) - or is that a tiny chair?!
He’s great 👍

Done now, but could you have knitted him socks in another colour?

Could have, but he’ll have to be satisfied with just a soggy jumper now. 🐸🙂

Those are his feet 😲

Have you ever seen a frog wearing socks, JackyB?
They'd get very soggy in the pond!

Oh, he's lovely, especially with his additional leg.
And his friend 🙂

Finally finished Ferdinand Frog and his little froglet friend. Will post them off tomorrow.
Sewing up Froglet and embroidering the features were a major fiddle - embroidery was never my strong point. Ferdinand was a doss by comparison!

Is it just me who knits faster when the wool is running out?

Definitely not!

Yarn arrived!
He is now just waiting for his matching hand puppet little friend to be finished, in order to be posted off to a new home.

Callistemon21 Sat 23-Sept-23 17:15:44

He's sitting there very patiently, waiting for his other leg 😁

Oh, what kind of yarn? You could always put out an SOS in future (I have rather a large stash but probably not what you need!).

Pea Green, Hayfield Bonus IIRC.
Thanks so much but I’ve ordered another 2 balls - it’ll be enough for another frog at some point. I forgot to order more eyes though! Idiot.

My greens are Lime and Emerald, I think.
Plus some leftover bits of Deramores in various greens.

Oh Witzend you must be hopping mad!

That is so cute. Hope your wool arrives soon so it can be finished.

Could he be an amputee Ferdinand?

It did occur to me! But the charity I make them for doesn’t want disabled animal worry eaters, only ditto monsters! I’ve made a disabled monster in the past - half a leg missing, poor old Hopalong.

You must be spitting feathers! Especially as it’s down to you, it’s exactly the sort of thing I would do.

Witzend Thu 21-Sept-23 09:42:09

I’m literally less than a yard short of yarn for finishing my worry-eating Ferdinand Frog. All I’ve got to do is cast off his 2nd foot!
Now have to wait for the postman to bring supplies. So he’ll have to be one-legged a bit longer.

2 x 100gm balls should have been plenty, but I used a small amount for something else. That’ll larn me.
