Here is another dog/cat blanket for the wonderful Battersea dog/cat rescue home. Over the years I have made over 100 blankets for these precious and beautiful animals.
Thank you for looking.

Whoever snuggles up in your blanket will love it! It’s beautiful, such lovely colours.

Fabulous and well done x

Are there any rules, so-to-speak, for making these blankets, please, Purplepixie?

Lucky dogs and cats. The blankets are lovely and so cosy for cold little paws.

That looks lovely, how lucky they are to have someone like you.

My dog would be more than happy to have such a blanket in his bed. X

Our rescue cat from Battersea has slept on the blanket that came with him for two years. He is a very nervous cat and I am sure it gives him great comfort. He purposefully ignores any other blanket that we put down. I know it is not one of yours purplepixie but I am sure there are many other cats and dogs settling down on yours at this moment.

That’s lovely Greenfinch I always put one of my hearts on them. Hugs to your lovely cat. 🐱 🤗

I am a very slow not very good knitter, I have started on a premature kitten blanket..just about my skill level, it will be made with love in every stitch even if not perfect.
I go to knit and natter every week and I have been encouraged to do this, I usually natter and make the teagrin

Thanks for sharing!

PurplePixie, a couple of years ago I started making a really big ‘human’ blanket, on a very fat circular needle with a rainbow-stripe selection of chunky plus DK every row, all garter stitch.

But lately I’ve come to realise that I’m never going to finish it - too intent on much needed items for Knit for Nowt, so I’m going to unravel what I’ve done so far (quite a bit) and recycle it into dog and cat blankets.
I’m sure you’ve told me before, but could you please give me a very rough idea of finished size/number of stitches etc.? Thank you!
