Hi all

Iโ€™ve just finished this baby stroller blanket. Crocheted in james c Brett baby marble dk. Knitting and crocheting keep me sane.๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‘

Lovely stroller blanket. I am lost in admiration for all you GN knitters.

Allira sorry for the delay in replying, yes I crocheted the border onto the blanket.

Thank you for all of your kind words.

I'm left handed and learned C2C crochet last year. I watched an instruction video on the Internet. Once you get the gist of it, I found it easy to do.

Well done, it's lovely. Here's my latest C2C.

Beautiful and well done.

Lovely colours. Is the frilly edge crocheted afterwards, WelshPoppy?

Pretty. I have used the same yarn in a different colour but knitted in garter stitch.

I've knit smaller squares C2C but never tried crocheting like that. Another triumph, whywhywhy
You're very speedy!

I have a few balls of cotton in the stash which DD bought for using with pupils but didn't use it all so I might try dishcloths!
When I've finished the crochet blanket I'm making.

Thanks Doodledog

Thank you. My gran used to make dishcloths.

Brings back memories of my gran who used to crochet dishcloths out of cotton. She and my mum were brilliant at crochet. My mum even crocheted my wedding dress and going away dress. I cannot crochet as I cannot get the action. I sort of knit crochet!
whywhywhy. What a gorgeous blanket!

Oh Doodledog, a fellow dishcloth knitter!
I must tell my children, as they regard this as a bizarre activity exclusive to their mother.
Lovely blanket whywhywhy.

Iโ€™ve made tea towels too, but they are more decorative than functional, unfortunately. The dishcloths are excellent though.

Lovely.
I have never tried C2C perhaps I will give it a go.

I've made a couple. It's lovely, and very straightforward once you've started. I struggle with the first row every single time! I go back to

to get started

Thank you all so much.
Also thank you doodledog for the pattern.

No problem. I was in no way trying to upstage your lovely blanket - just offering an easy way in for someone wanting to try bias knitting.

Try it with a dishcloth first? I love knitted dishcloths. They last sooo much longer than bought ones, and can be made in colours to match your kitchen.

This is a pattern I use:

Get some DK cotton yarn, eg Drops Paris (but anything will do as long as it is pure cotton)

Cast on 4 stitches.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Knit 2, yarn over, knit across row.
Repeat Row 2 until there are 46 stitches on the needle, or the work as the size you want it to be (on the diagonal).

Row 3: Knit 1 knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 2 together, knit to end of row.
Repeat Row 3 until you have 4 stitches on the needle.
Cast off and weave in ends.

Your blanket is gorgeous, whywhywhy

C2C is always nice in a baby blanket - stretchy and squishy. It looks great whywhywhy.
