Hi all
I knitted this baby sweater for a friend. Her daughter is having a baby boy in July. Knitted using james c Brett marble dk.
Thank you for looking.

It's lovely. I love to see babies in hand knitted clothes. I can't knit despite several people trying to teach me but plenty of people knitted my boys clothes when they were babies.

That is one of the cutest baby sweaters I've ever seen. What a wonderful gift.

Thank you.

I stuck to embroidering pram covers, bibs and bonnets, as I have never been able to knit anything but the most boring alternate rows of plain and purl.

It is a lovely sweater.

Mam taught me at the age of 9. We are all good at something. X

My mother tried in vain to teach me to knit and eventually gave up in disgust. I remember at school being taught to knit a basic square. Everyone else in the class had finished theirs and mine wasn't even cast on. So yes, I also envy those who have talents in the knitting/sewing/crocheting departments. Mine, I have come to realise, lie elsewhere.

It’s lovely, as you can see by my name, I love to knit for my 2 little granddaughters & it’s reassuring that my knots have been passed in to the younger one intact!
I don’t really like sewing up these small items though, there seem too many seams in a small space!

What a beautiful sweater, I so envy people who can knit. My friend’s mum used to say if you can read you can knit, I must be the exception to that rule. I started a cardigan when I was pregnant with my eldest son, it was still on the pins 10 years later eventually took it off the pins and unraveled the knitting and gave the wool to my DD for a craft project 😂

What a gorgeous little jumper.
I’m sure the mum will be delighted with it.

whywhywhy I started knitting myself a cable jumper very many years ago but for some reason never finished it. There's not much to do now and I took it out twice during lockdowns to have another go, but could I work out where I was with the cabling? No!
It's back in a box under the stairs, another UFO 😃

Thank you all so much.

Love a cable sweater! That's really nice.

That's lovely whywhywhy. Modern mums appreciate hand knitting as they are aware of sites such as Etsy featuring home crafters.

That’s lovely. Very talented.

I always said I would knit for my babies when they came along as I was useless at anything adult sized…. Guess what - I was useless at that too!
