Just about ready for the postman tomorrow (God bless Click and Drop!) - I’ve just got one small item to finish.

That is really nice witzend. Someone will be very happy to be given that. You are very talented.

Thank you, but TBH it’s more the person who designed the patterns who is very talented! Perhaps especially the person who fiddled out the pattern for a banana - and then offered it online to download - for a mere £1!

You are so skilled...who taught you to knit and how old were you when you knitted your first item and what was it?

Love them! And you are incredibly skillful

Those monkeys are very cute and will bring a smile to a child's face. What a worthwhile thing to do if you have the skills.

Adorable.

That's very cute. As someone who is useless at most arts and crafts, I'm always in awe of those who have the talent to create something like this.

They are lovely

My mother taught me when I was 5 or 6 - the basic ‘in, over, through, off,’ but I was pretty rubbish at it. I actually left the Brownies at maybe 8 because of knitting - we had to knit a square and I hated it, was so slow and hopeless. So that was the first thing - an unfinished square!

It wasn’t really until the first grandchild was on the way that I made something properly - a fairly simple blanket, followed by a few jumpers etc., and during the first lockdown I started knitting for the charity I now make things for - Knit for Nowt. I’m a bit of an addict now!

Thank you all for kind words, and 🐵 says the same!

They are really gorgeous.

I dug out my patterns and needles and sorted through my treasured collection of real wool when my Grandson was born. I knitted and knitted. What a waste of time and effort it turned out to be though. Junior was not to be clothed in "old-fashioned" baby clothes. Junior was to have modern, sweat inducing, babygrows (just like his mum 40 years before when she grew out of the knitted stuff made with love by friends and relatives). She did buy me a book of toys to knit, which I returned. I was all knitted out by that time.

Mind you, if it had included those delightful monkeys, I would definitely have been tempted to give it one last go!
