Hi all.

A friend asked me if I’d make a stroller blanket for her daughter’s new baby and she wanted yellow. So here it is.
Hope they like it.

Mum1959 - what fantastic work and well done to you. I love it. How long did it take you to make it?

I like corner to corner but haven't done any for a while because I decided to make a cot blanket using a cross stitch design and thus is how it came out! Slightly larger than expected. My grandson thought it was great though and he still has it on his bed!

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful words.

Lovely! I find that is the most convenient size of blanket for babies. Parents tend to use sleep sacks instead of blankets for sleeping now, so crib size aren't used.

Thank you.

What's not to like. A handmade gift is the most precious 💖

WelshPoppy yours is beautiful.

Thank you everyone for your warm and kind words.
Crafts keep me sane because I battle depression on a daily basis.

I have no skills in crochet, knitting etc. My cousin and I decided we are on this earth to make others feel clever - we admire the wonderful items others create. I have several extremely talented friends - one in particular makes her own clothes, and could grace the cover of Vogue. Well done all you clever 'crafters'.

Lovely. I love C2C for no counting !
I made my first ever baby blanket recently. I enjoy the repetition of crocheting a blanket.

I do worry when I see this pattern with holes in. My Aunt made me one for my DD. She was small and sleepy as a baby, and nearly lost 2 of her fingers which got trapped - they were blue/grey by the time I noticed. Others have warned of this.

I do too and blanket squares as well.

Vintagegirl Mon 25-Aug-25 15:51:21

\you can do C to C with knitting as well as crochet. you start at a corner with a couple of stitches and keep adding one each end of following rows so it grows. When you reach the middle and have a large triangle of work you then start reducing at each end until reach the far corner and a couple of stitches. I made dishcloths from cotton yarn this method. I think it was plain stitch all the way.

What is C2C?

Magenta8 Mon 25-Aug-25 15:45:29

As a non-crafter I am, as usual, lost in admiration for whywhywhy and all the other clever GNs who make such beautiful things.thanks

So admire people who can turn out beautiful craft work.

WelshPoppy Mon 25-Aug-25 14:31:51

This is my latest, not C2C as I've done loads of them recently and fancied a change. Yours looks lovely.

That’s ok. Thank you for the kind words. 🤗

Greenfinch Fri 22-Aug-25 11:06:40

Sorry ,it’s lovely but I thought it was knitted and hence the question.

whywhywhy Thu 21-Aug-25 23:11:36

RedRidingHood - beautiful work.

whywhywhy Thu 21-Aug-25 23:10:55

Yes. It’s corner to corner. So simple and easy to do. It’s on YouTube and that’s where I learned to do it. Happy crocheting. 🧶

Sillymoo Thu 21-Aug-25 22:53:00

Its corner to corner I think.

RedRidingHood Thu 21-Aug-25 22:30:02

That is beautiful, I wish I could make things like that. So jealous.
Was mystified by your title though because I live in a place where there is a c2c train line into London, was wondering what the possible connection was with a baby blanket. 🤣
