Oh that sounds just like my stash, Allira blush. I'm thinking of selling it off on online ... by weight!

Mine is a warning to anyone downsizing and thinking they need something to keep them busy when they move - don't do it! You will find life has ways of keeping you busy that you had never thought of.

I might take some of mine to the craft group I go to.

Then find I need it for something!

That's lovely. I can't knit, sew, crochet, cook etc... I don't have a practical bone in my body but I am always impressed by people who can. I love to see babies in hand-knitted clothes.

I loved your work, Purplepixie, but I was quite fascinated with the variety of things on the shelf behind the photo! I’m a nosy soul and love to see other people’s homes and ‘stashes’.

On the window sill are sewing threads, needles, pins and stuff for my watercolour painting. I try and keep the room tidy because it’s quite small.

Thank you for all of your kind comments.

I have no limits when it comes to wool because I can always find a place to keep it.

Bennydian Mon 27-Oct-25 06:41:18

Beautiful work, she will be delighted to wear it. Congratulations PurplePixie.

Allira

I do like that yarn but I do not need more yarn!

Would you like some fabric to keep your yarn company Allira? grin

That's a beautiful piece of work Purplepixie.

No thank you, DaisyAnneReturns!
I have fabric somewhere in the depths of the understairs cupboard.

One large piece was bought to make a sundress for a DD when she was about six. She's now in her forties.
It's very pretty.

Well done. I am sure it will be admired.
My mother-in-law was a fantastic knitter anything to do with wool. She taught me how to get a good tension with the wool making what I knitted also admired

Ooh, yes, that blue and white jug looks interesting.
I love china and pottery.

It looks lovely, and must have taken lots of patience to knit.

I used to knit both my children's cardigans and jumpers, also some for relatives. These days, unfortunately, my knitting needles and crochet hooks are stored in drawers and are never used.

Grandma600 Sun 26-Oct-25 13:54:02

That looks absolutely beautiful, well done, and I hope your friend and her granddaughter enjoy it!

Purplepixie Fri 24-Oct-25 15:09:16

Thanks. X

You are very talented I did knit nice jumpers etc years ago. I now stick to scarves and hats. Your friend will be very happy to see her granddaughter in such a lovely tunic made with love.

Purplepixie Thu 23-Oct-25 23:21:12

Thank you to everyone.
