Hi all
My husband asked me to make him a jumper using whatever I had in my stash. I started it just after Christmas snd finished it yesterday. It was also to beat the post Christmas blues when my son and his partner went home. Therapeutic.
Chunky yarn knitted on 5mm and 6mm needles.
I’m pleased that it fits great and he likes it.

Thanks for looking. Now for my next project! My fingers are twitching!! 🤗🤗🧶

I always use metal needles.

Lovely. Thank you for the details of the wool, I was about to ask. Do knit on metal pins or bamboo?

That's 👌 he's a lucky man. How did you get the "waffle" effect - is it Andalusian stitch?

I do admire you. I mostly knit small projects. smile

He hadn’t taken it off yet!!!

... oh, that's really nice - love the colour combination.

I hope he wears it 'til it's threadbare! smile

Purplepixie

Thank you all so much.
The raglan is K3, sl1, K1, psso, then knit to the last 5sts. K2tog and then K3.
Purl
The stitch is 4 rows of stocking stitch with the 5th row K1, P1 all the way.
When it comes to the raglan Make sure that you K3 at the beginning and the end. On a purl row you P3 at the beginning and the end.
Hope this makes sense.

The yarn is : YARNSMITH “Play” Chunky
Shade 1G011
Dye lot 20

Thank you very much, Purplepixie, very helpful!👍

I am in awe of your skill. The design and use of the different colours are brilliant.

Wow, that is fast knitting! How long per day or sitting do you knit?

I started a sweater for myself at the beginning of December and am about half way through. I'm aiming for the end of January to finish. I knit for about an hour at a time, most days just one hour, occasionally twice.

Lovely pattern and nice colours too.

Lucky hubby !
I'd wear it as I love the muted purple colour and design.
I don't worry if it's designed for a man .
I think that you should be on YouTube demonstrating your skills .
Another triumph !
I'm actually thinking of knitting a TV lap blanket -just about my level of skill !

Lucky Mr Purplepixie!

Great looking knit, well done.
I wish I had the time and the inclination to knit myself a pink jumper like the one that Stephen was wearing on Traitors last night, boat neck and slightly fluffy.

Lovely jumper well knit. From a fellow knitter. Beautiful I’ve just retired and a bit lost so I’m knitting like mad but enjoying it.

As someone who likes knitting I have never progressed beyond scarves and fingerless gloves! Mainly I think because I never mastered the basics - how to correct mistakes. This means I have to start again and then I usually give up.🤷‍♀️ I wish I had your skills, the jumper looks very professional. 👏

Primrose53 Sat 10-Jan-26 12:32:24

Wow! You did that super fast! 👏👏

JaneJudge Sat 10-Jan-26 12:32:05

Lovely, he's a lucky man! smile

Grannmarie Sat 10-Jan-26 12:31:34

Please tell me how you edge your raglan,
is it k.2, sl.1, k.1, psso. ?

Grannmarie Sat 10-Jan-26 12:29:13

Well done, Purplepixie, that's a real labour of love!❤️
