I am knitting a toddler jumper bottom up in stocking stitch on circular needles. I have 112 stitches. I am knitting the 4th size. All 4 pieces. Left sleeve, front, right sleeve, back are on the needles. I am now shaping the neck & I am stuck I cannot visualise where I should be at all. Following what I am reading to do at the point where the pattern says turn & purl 27 stitches I am back at the beginning of the left sleeve. Thank you.

You should be. You are working short row shaping.

Working right to left you have Marker, K1, PSSO decrease, 15 stitches (I think), K2tog decrease, K1, Marker, K1, PSSO decrease, K8 turn.

3 + 15 + 3 + 3 + 8 = 32

That’s 32 of the 112 stitches worked in which you made 3 decreases leaving 29 stitches with 80 unworked.

I think the working across Back stitches should read working back across stitches.
