Help needed with knitting pattern

I'm knitting in the round from bottom up and following the actual pattern instructions as can't follow pattern graphs. I have completed the extra mid rows for the neck shaping and now have the correct number of 336 stitches for the 3rd size and completed first 4 rows of the lace pattern and suddenly thought about the decreasing of the yoke. The pattern says I should end up with 144 sts but I can't see within the pattern instructions any mention of when/where to decrease. I don't know if I'm reading the pattern instructions wrong or if the decreasing info is missing. I'd be very grateful if anyone of our expert knitters can give advise please before I unwind this project in frustration and knit something else. I've attached photos of the jumper, pattern graph & page showing 336sts after the neck shaping (3rd row down) and further down Placing yoke pattern etc. I can't attach the last page so will add it on separately.

Row 15 and every following 4th row show a decrease in the centre stitch of each pattern, I can't see any other decreases?

This is where being able to read charts makes things clearer.

You have a 14 stitch pattern which you repeat 24 times in a round for size three.

You start with 336 stitches and will end up with 144 so you will decrease 192 stitches.

You can see this on the shaded squares of the chart where the key says no stitch. That means there is no longer any stitch to work.

At the end of a whole 34 round pattern repeat you have 24 lots of 8 no stitches, four either end.

24 repeats x 8 = 192 stitches.

The actual decreases are in the lace pattern itself.

Do you see where the first no stitch appears at row 9? It’s because the round has more (sl1, k1, psso) and K2tog decreases than yarn fwds. You are decreasing 4 stitches and only making 2 with the yarn fwds. You have decreased 2 in total each pattern repeat within the round - which become the 2 shaded no stitches - one either side of the pattern repeat.

Do you see the next one comes at round 15? This time you have 6 decreases and 4 increases in the pattern repeat so again you have decreased 2 in total. So now you have 4 no stitches, 2 either side.

Onto round 23. You decrease 4 and increase 2 each pattern repeat, so again you have decreased 2 in total and now have 6 no stitches, 3 either side.

One more time on round 29.

I hope that all makes sense. If you don’t want to follow the chart, the written pattern will say the same thing or it should do but I haven’t checked.

Check your stitch count at the ends of rounds 9, 15, 23 and 29 to make sure you have decreased 48 stitches. You should have 288 after round 9, 240 after round 15, 192 after round 23 and 144 after round 29.
