Just to add, the head and body are supposed to be done with double DK on 4 mm needles, but I used 5 mm - I find it easier, not to mention quicker! - and he comes out a bit fatter and more cuddly. My knitting is quite tight so no danger of spaces where children could pull the stuffing out.
