Getting a bit addicted to GN!!

- no, I just meant that user names are sometimes displayed!

Oh the [in my case] thought of it . I'd spend so much time putting my face on I wouldn't have time to read anything [it takes longer and longer these days....]

It's perhaps as well that we can't see who's online like you can on some forums....

When I'm at home the pooter is on all the time and I dip in and out as I'm passing the pooter room. I'm ashamed to say that on my days off as I'm lying in bed not wanting to get up the thing that gets me out of bed is the 'I'll just turn the pooter on and see what's happening'. I did have a few other forums that I used to frequent but the people on them seem to have started twittering instead . When I'm on my own I sometimes leave the pooter on all night; I had a nuisance phone call one night which really upset me and someone who was awake on one of my forums talked me through it . I wouldn't dare get an ipad or I'd be on it all the time .

I am addicted too.

Now that I have an iPad I think I will spend shorter, quicker periods on Gransnet, but I do like catching up with everyone's posts. I sometimes feel quite out of the loop when I haven't been on for a while. My daughter jokingly described the Wonderful Man as a Gransnet widower today! Cheeky blighter!

cheelu one of the best things about GN is how you can 'talk' to others about how you feel and they will respond, support and advise. I have a mental picture of many GNetters which is probably completely divorced from what they really look like. But that doesn't matter, it's what they say and how they say it that really matters.

As my doctor colleague would say 'as long as you do it as soon as the withdrawal symptoms start, you won't have to worry about addiction!'

I have been a little weaned off the last couple of weeks by guests and a jigsaw puzzle.

My resolution this year is to return to being addicted to Gransnet! I was and then the last few months I hardly went near it. I 'm back ! And am going to be on it as much as I can.
