I appreciate the fact that this is a mixed site and I have noticed how some men write very supportive and caring posts on threads dealing with such things as bereavement and separation/divorce amongst others.

I must admit one or two people who SOUND like men are coming across on threads as very dogmatic (particularly today), but I am sure you are not like that. They may, of course, be women. Who knows?

AKA, yes that's the limit to my interests on this site. I have lots more interests but I would need to go on a specialist website that no-one on grans net would know or care about. so yawn all you like

Im not bitter my late husband was lovely, he had no strong opinions and we got on fine I made all the decisions and handled money etc and he just went out and earned it as well as me. I could never have stood a man telling me what to do which is what men tend to do. I have met many women who tell me they dare not do something or they dare not say something even though they get along well with their men. I just cant understand how men can dictate like this. I find as men get older, also they become more like this. Been reading the thread about retired men being really possessive and wanting to know where their women are all the time. I really could not stand telling any man what im up to all day.
Also have you, ANA ever tried to win a political argument with a man, they never change and never see the other side of the argument. I just think it would be nice to have a girls only site .

I find men are really self centred and most are like little boys. If you have an argument (a sensible discussion not a row), men will never accept that a woman is right, they will always see their own point of view. How many women will spend time actually watching sport, or going fishing etc. Sooo boring. give me some nice female chat any day about crafts, cookery, grandkids etc.

Actually I prefer the company of most men to some women. I find many woman just want to talk about themselves. Not all, granted. I choose my female friends with great care.

Bur I think we need both, just in the same way I love the differences between my grandsons and my granddaughters.

I did dip into this site a couple of years ago, but withdrew as I felt it it bit - well not quite me, and I was in a minority of 1 or maybe 2. We are part carers to GGD who is now in reception at school, my wife retired, and I semi retired. I am the major part of the team for all sorts of reasons, but it works well. All sorts of things I could chat about...

I reckon Roderick was a Sherriff in the wild west, in his youth. Or a Tommy Gun tester.

Pressing the 'back' button can cause repeat posting, perhaps that is what happened.

I thought it must be a fault in Roderick's keyboard, but it doesn't always happen. Some of his posts come single, but a lot of them are in dozens.

We come as a pair, because OH is not so good with the keyboard. She definitely has her own point of view and thoughts, which I communicate for her. We, too, are in the great granparents league.

It must be a technical fault. I posted, then copied and pasted and there was a time shift of a few seconds between my posts.

I saw someone else had this problem a few days ago. I don't think you could do it deliberately to the exact second. It's very odd.

What is odd is that these repeat posts all come with the same time, to the very second. I will try and replicate that.
