Ignoring the awfulness of scoffing competitions, how much of this 59-item breakfast on offer in Portishead could you eat?

I like savoury foods for breakfast and have a big appetite in the morning (and other times grin) so could polish-off:

2 bacon
2 sausages
2 eggs
1 hash brown
Few beans
1 toast

Big Breakfast

The sausages do look very Walls grin

Yum, jings - bacon and fried bananas?

might have to try that

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 15-Jan-15 16:24:20

blush

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 15-Jan-15 16:23:57

Oh! Yum!!!

Riverwalk Thu 15-Jan-15 16:22:48

The mystery item (left of the black pudding and under the onion rings) is, I think, fried potatoes!

Lona Thu 15-Jan-15 16:21:52

Well, I'm just going to sulk Riverwalk!

Lona Thu 15-Jan-15 16:20:40

Banana and bacon are delicious (if you like banana) smile

Riverwalk Thu 15-Jan-15 16:20:06

Fried banana is not on offer on that platter Lona you'll have to choose something else!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 15-Jan-15 16:18:46

The sausages do look very Walls. I can't identify all of it.

But I've got to stop looking at it! I am NOT hungry. I am NOT!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 15-Jan-15 16:15:08

A fried banana?! That's different. smile

Apart from the large quantity on that plate, the quality doesn't look good, especially the sausages. I would rather have a smaller helping, of local farm produce. I could eat it right now, but going for a Harvester meal tonight so 'saving' myself. I have already printed off the menu and made my selection - chicken breast, 321 calories, plus fries, salad etc!

I think it's gross too, not the food, but the gluttony. I had a bacon butty for breakfast which consisted of two slices of bread, unbuttered, three thin rashers of bacon, half a tomato, sliced and fried, and some 'sweated' and chopped spinach. I've no idea how many calories that would add up to but it's about as much as I ever eat at once.

FlicketyB Thu 15-Jan-15 16:03:01

Sorry, but I think this is gross. Gluttony is never attractive.

Lona Thu 15-Jan-15 15:58:47

For me it would be (rare occasion)
2 bacon
1 egg
few mushrooms
i fried banana

There are a couple of things on that plate that I can't identify, same thing as River and what's between the dishes of beans and tomatoes?
Is it a pancake?

Riverwalk Thu 15-Jan-15 15:57:35

Katy I'm afraid you're not allowed on this thread if that's what you eat for breakfast! grin

KatyK Thu 15-Jan-15 15:53:03

I usually have a bowl of granola with skimmed milk and a bit of fruit on top! grin

crun Thu 15-Jan-15 15:44:17

I've been through nearly that much in a day, but not without about 120-150 miles of cycling to burn it off.

grumppa Thu 15-Jan-15 15:34:36

Oh, and fried bread.

grumppa Thu 15-Jan-15 15:33:59

Looks good, Ninathenana, but I'll have some black pudding instead of the egg, and fried fresh tomatoes. Hardly ever have cooked breakfast at home, but the Full English is a must on holidays in England.

Ana Thu 15-Jan-15 15:03:32

Same here, gillybob! grin

gillybob Thu 15-Jan-15 14:57:02

Bloomin heck ninathenana That would last me all Sunday and Monday too. smile

ninathenana Thu 15-Jan-15 14:55:36

Usual Sunday breakfast for us..
Two sausages
Two rashers
One fried egg
Two hash browns
Beans
Mushrooms
Tin tomatoes (shared)

Washed down with OJ and followed by brew

I don't think even DH could eat the meal in the article.

Anne58 Thu 15-Jan-15 14:54:55

IMO baked beans are not a breakfast food!

pompa Thu 15-Jan-15 14:34:37

I'd want brown sauce to go with it

gillybob Thu 15-Jan-15 14:25:59

Just looking at that breakfast made me feel a bit sick. I very rarely eat any breakfast although I do sometimes have a small bowl of cereal or a slice of toast on a Saturday and Sunday. If I ate a cooked breakfast I would need to have a lie down.
