I'm off to do a (small) fry-up.

Some more mushrooms? Try clicking on the link to the breakfast in the text. Gives you a better view.

No, at 6 o'clock on the platter, below the onion rings.

The hash browns perhaps? Whatever, it's so making my mouth water now! grin

2 bacon, one egg, mushrooms, tomato, fried bread, followed by tea, brown toast and apricot jam. That's my ideal 'full English' and it would last me most of the day. Definitely no sausages unless I have already had them. I am very fussy about sausages, we buy them in Yorkshire, frozen and bring them back to Cornwall.
Eating contests/challenges are dreadful.

I read most of the article, it's a shame the Guardian don't know that Brigg is in Lincolnshire not Leicestershire. (If Kitty tells me there is a Brigg in Leicestershire I retract that.)

I'm trying to work out what's to the left of the black pudding.

I'm the same as you Riverwalk. Might be able to manage 2 slices of toast though.

Ignoring the awfulness of scoffing competitions, how much of this 59-item breakfast on offer in Portishead could you eat?

I like savoury foods for breakfast and have a big appetite in the morning (and other times grin) so could polish-off:

2 bacon
2 sausages
2 eggs
1 hash brown
Few beans
1 toast
