Make a chamomile tea, chill it, rub a little on gums. Or you can add a cupful to baby's bath water. Sincerely, Margaret.

Thanks everyone who's given me advice-all very useful. Much appreciated. I am a newbie on Gransnet and also became a Granny for the First Time in March.

Bonjela, Calpol and dribble bibs galore I'm afraid.
DGS had a dummy-like gel thingy you put in the freezer to chew on which sometimes seemed to help.
DD always had nappy rash every time she teethed, DS just dribbled incessantly so they're all different and it's very much trial and labour.

How old is the baby and how is it affecting him/her? It takes them all in slightly different ways. One of mine was quite easy, the other was horrible because he started very young and couldn't cope.
