I always freeze mine on the same day, take out as I require them, but to answer your question I would microwave a few seconds, if this doesn't revive them, then out for our feathered friends

Scones have to be really, really freshly baked for me to be able to eat them

I agree that toasting is the way to go. It works extra well on cheese scones.

I love them toasted

I would try a few seconds in the microwave with one & see if that revives it.

Sprinkle with water and heat them up briefly, then eat them fast.
