Computer problem! Green screen when I try to watch video footage.

Can anyone help? When I go on You Tube or BBC I player for example I get sound but no picture, just a green screen. Its only been happening for a week or so. I think it may be connected to my attempt (which failed) to download Windows 10. I have googled the problem and there are apparent solutions out there but v complicated and I don't want to do more damage. Any one had the same problem and if so how did you fix it? If I have to pay someone to fix it for me how much should it cost?
Any advice will be much appreciated.

My son reckons you could try and reinstall the browser, that might fix it, but don't ask me any more as I'm a bit of a technophobe!!

Or you could simply download a different browser and see how it works with that one - assuming from your comment that you use Google, you could try Firefox, that usually works quite well.

Thanks soo much both of you, I have just installed Google Chrome, took about 5 mins and it has fixed the problem! Grans forever!!
