Hi
My grandson is leaving in September to live and work in Germany, as part of his degree course. ?
We are having a family party before he goes, but obviously we would like a German theme, but I'm finding it difficult to find stuff. I can buy cake decorations on Amazon that translate as either 'happy birthday' or 'congratulations', German flag bunting or Oktoberfest stuff. As I am not a German speaker, accessing German websites is problematic to say the very least and we want this to be a surprise, so asking him is out of the question.

I would like some sort of bunting and cake decorations - any ideas anyone? I would be very grateful.

Yes you could do him a Beer Festival theme and find some appropriate music. Sorry cant help with the German I'm sure there must be at least one Gransnetter who speaks German.

I organise German days at school. Let me know if there is anything specific he likes. I'm assuming he is around 20 years so I may have to think a bit older than my pupils' age.
