Coverage for broken veins

I have Rosacea quite badly, and used to use VEIL cover cream (available online), but now I find Maybelline's Dream Mousse foundation works well

Nars natural radiant longwear foundation and kiko concealer.

suzied I did try laser once many years ago and the result was "raised " red veins. Maybe the beautician was inexperienced!

You can have thread veins removed by laser treatment in some beauty salons.

Just adding my "five eggs again!" Re foundation brushes. I tried very hard to get used to them but found eventually that my fingers were better. I have not tried the Bareminerals foundation, but the serum concealer is the best I have ever found. Totally agree though....do go to counters and try products, most will give you a sample to try at home. Whilst these products seem pricey, they do work and last quite a long time...far longer than a couple of bottles of wine!!

I too have the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and it does cover the thread veins on Mt cheeks but I find it a little heavy and thick, even when applied with a brush. The Bare Minerals foundation is much lighter, covers the veins just as well, but does need "touching up" by mid afternoon. I definitely need to use a good primer though and I use the Lancome one, which is excellent.

A bit different I know but I sometimes have a rosacea type rash and Bare Minerals does a good job of covering it without looking heavily made up which I hate. Why not go to one of the in store counters and ask them to demonstrate it for you? You don't have to buy it if you don't like the effect. I did that years back with Clinique, found the assistant both kind and helpful, used it for a while but find Bare Minerals is lighter to use.

I use Lancome face foundation, it's brilliant, covers everything. Yes its expensive but it lasts forever. I also use a foundation brush. Who knew I'd ever feel the need to know these things.

I also use the Estee Lauder double wear but not the light version. It covers thread veins really well. I use a foundation brush, put it on sparingly, and then build it up a little over the thread veins. Stays on all day. Great stuff though I do find it a little more expensive.

Hi I also have thread veins and have spent my life trying to conceal them.
Currently I use Estee Lauder double wear light coverage and then apply where needed Bare Minerals BARESKIN concealer. I have found this a great combo. The BARESKIN has a serum in it and it seems to stop it drying out during the day and looking cakey. Benefit also do a serious concealer called "Bo-ing". I have also used this, but I did find that it drys out and looks a bit flakey by the end of the day. Always go to a counter and get them to try it on you as there is no one size fits all and it gets expensive. I was horrified at the thought of having my face make up removed in store and visibly retreated as she came towards me with the cleanser! However in truth...no one cared about me and it let me try products and choose the best as I waited and saw how it looked later in the day and went back to purchase another day. I think it really is trial and error and deciding on the look you want. I personally don't want a heavy look, I just want the veins covered. I have considered laser, but just cannot pluck up the courage...maybe one day I will. Def go in store and ask around, but I really recommend the BARESKIN concealer....of all the ones I have tried it is the smoothest and the serum seems to stop it drying out. Good Luck grannysue05
