After yesterday's disaster is it over for Mrs May?

I have just looked through the customs, Vat document. In a 38 page document there are 9 totally blank pages.
What do you think this says about the government's mindset?

trisher Tue 10-Oct-17 11:23:17

I wonder how they are going to sort out anything. Still there's Christmas to look forward to. How much do you think the DUP will want for their pressie?

whitewave Tue 10-Oct-17 10:56:44

Quick skim. I am wondering how they are going to sort out the vat.

Mrs May must say she will stand down as leader

I found this quite difficult to get to - it's a Telegraph article but this is in PressReader.

whitewave Tue 10-Oct-17 10:30:37

Doomed.

Surely parliament will have a say in the event of a potential no dealnand disaster?

GracesGranMK2 Tue 10-Oct-17 10:27:43

May has become the hologram prime minister

GracesGranMK2 Tue 10-Oct-17 10:25:06

A new cabinet won’t save Theresa May. Brexit has doomed her

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 23:38:34

DUP giving May until Christmas, before they allow government to collapse. Also on Newsnight.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 09-Oct-17 22:56:36

They being civil servants.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 09-Oct-17 22:56:19

Just listening to Newsnight and they are saying that as well as gaming what would happen if we get no Brexit agreement they are gaming what would happen if the government collapses.

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 22:42:38

Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between having a transition period and an implementation period?

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 22:38:39

This is just so funny.

Apparently number 10 wrote Johnson's letter saying he supported the PM unequivocally, he signed it, then it was sent by number 10 to the papers.

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 22:31:41

Actually, whitewave, the first one I liked was by the same artist as yours. I think it was Boris as an undertaker measuring her up for her coffin, now I look at it again.

varian Mon 09-Oct-17 22:24:33

actually, sorry about the typos

varian Mon 09-Oct-17 21:46:53

I can hardly believe that last year I wascactuapoy rooting for Theresa May, but only on the basis that she was not Andrea Leadsome. I can hardly believe what a disapp.ointment she has been. She has turned her back on the majority of British voters who never voted for Brexit. She is totally out of her depth. Someone who was ostensibly a remainer should never have been so utterly spineless. She should stand up to the brexetextreemists a call a halt to the madness.

whitewave Mon 09-Oct-17 21:25:21

I love the last one May with all the final nails in her coffin -gloriousgrin

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 20:58:17

I like the subtle ones, Boris measuring up Theresa's coat, or the policeman standing outside number 10.
It's amazing how many of them have got flocks of birds.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 09-Oct-17 20:49:57

Loved the cartoons Jen. They as almost surgical as they cut though to the truth aren't they.

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 20:18:28

There's a suggestion on here that the general public should now be given a vote of no confidence in the government.

35% of disabled women get less than the national living wage, the Tories laughable minimum wage.

durhamjen Sun 08-Oct-17 20:48:06

Sisters of Frida are interviewing for a steering group. They want to know if May wants to join, but are seriously worried about her values.
