I've noticed that the large tins seem to leave more sludge than the glass jars do. I wonder why?

Yes, I agree. I've drunk Gold Blend for years and noticed the sludge at the bottom and lack of aromarecently. Thanks for the link Jalimall08. I'm going to add my comments on the site.

I used to like Gold Blend but have changed to Alta Rica, so much better.

You're not the only one who thinks it has changed:

Jalima1108 I shop in Tesco or Morrisons, have never bought coffee anywhere else. I think Nestle have changed the recipe or something!! shock

I'm not sure where you are buying the Gold Blend coffee (I don't drink it) but someone mentioned that when she bought some from Lidl it tasted different to normal; it was supposedly Nescafe Gold Blend.

Try the Aldi one if you can get it.
Half the price and I can't tell the difference.

That's interesting. I had noticed it didn't seem as flavourful as I remembered.

MissAdventure Sat 11-Nov-17 09:24:52

Yes, yes, and yes! It never used to leave the residue, and I've used it for years.

Has anyone else noticed that Gold Blend instant coffee has changed recently? There is a sludgy residue at the bottom of my mug that I find quite unpleasant so I can’t drain the mug as I used to! hmm
