Can you help me, my sink water and possibly washing machine water appear to be draining into the dishwasher. Do I need a new dishwasher or is it something that can be easily fixed? Husband has checked the S bend so it’s not blocked. Both washing machine and dishwasher work and are either side of the sink.

It might be that the outlet pipe from your dishwasher has dropped down, it should be looped up higher than the s bend so the water can't run back down the pipe it happened to mine once.

I think there should be a valve in your washing machine that stops this happening. It may have failed and need replacing.

Hello, as a plumber myself, I have the perfect solution. I would insert your hand into the 'S bend' . I normally grease my leg and place it in there. I was an ex footballer so I have a feisty kick.

I am very sorry for that last post. My two grandchildren went on my account and have commented on multiple posts. Please feel free to kick me from this forum as I know my mistakes and I should of kept and eye on them.

Actually thought that was quite amusing GrannySmith. In truth their spelling, punctuation, grammar and vocabulary is better than some of us grans. How old are they?

Haha, they are 13 and 16.
