Shall I start over?
I have a desktop computer downstairs.
I don't use a smartphone, have a limited budget, and don't want to buy new stuff.
I have a radio upstairs which I want to listen to in the night - and incidentally one in the car - on which I also would like to listen to music from the 50s to 70s.
In Oxfordshire.
I haven't yet found one I can tune into!

I do listen to BBC4 in the car, but don't know where to find any others.
However I can now look up specifics like Magic and World Radio now I have their names!

if You ve got a Dab radio ( most are now)just press the button till you find something you fancy I have mine on all night but don’t know any frequencies I usually listen to 4 or World Radio there’s Magic that’s fairly laid back I think

Sorry (being dim) but if you can get access on iplayer, what's the problem? And why "down here"? Why not your phone?

Yes, but I don't take the computer to bed! Yes I can access Iplayer but only down here....
Just want to find a station frequency to listen to, and when i look online, there are so many, and they don't say what area you can hear them in or what frequency they are on!

This link will take you to all the BBC radio stations via iPlayer. You can listen to back editions of any programme on Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 4 extra etc. You can also access drama, comedy, sport, music or documentaries.

I listen to radio 4e in bed either on tablet or radio. Have you explored bbc options?

Ah. I want to take the radio to bed with me.... find something to listen to if sleepless.....

You could try listening via your computer, that way you wouldn't need to know the frequencies.

I love Smooth radio

Smooth radio and Mellow Magic are both easy listening with lots of the oldies from the 60s, 70s 80s and 90s. Listen to them often on my Amazon echo when in the kitchen. I have Smooth on the car radio as well but can't seem to tune in Mellow Magic in the car.

Do you have an Amazon Echo? I have music unlimited, and can listen to music from any era I like. I know some people dislike the thought of Alexa always listening, but you can turn the microphone off until you want to ask something. The radio reception here is appalling, so Alexa is a boon.

Have you tried downloading Spotify. It is free and you can load your own songs
