Advent calendar

Surely an advent calendar is supposed to count down the days UNTIL Christmas day, not including; therefore only 24 are really needed I think. Other people might have other ideas, but that's the way I see - BIG COL

A quiz question reads " how many 2s are there on a traditional Advent Calendar" Does a traditional calendar have 24 or 25 days?
