Tensions are running high at HQ. So far we're debating the merits of the yellow toffee finger, the purple one and the green triangle. Shall we do an unscientific poll on here and decide which is the most popular?

Oh good. It's not just me then. Have they changed the ingredients for the worse or have we Grans just developed more sophisticated palates? (Clue: the last one!)

Nelliemoser Fri 07-Dec-18 16:54:35

None of them. These seem to me to be revoltingly sweet.

Would it be heresy to say I'm no longer that keen on any of the Quality Street chocs? I love chocolate but (like lemongrove) I find QS to be too "sugary". But if I'm offered a really good quality chocolate, with a high cocoa content, then that's a different story.....and I could scoff the lot.....

Purple ones , green triangles, then pink fudge, but they’re not as yummy as Lindt Lindor’s !

Audrie57 Fri 07-Dec-18 15:24:22

oohhh nnnooooo its the green Rectangle coconut its yummy

lemongrove Fri 07-Dec-18 15:03:26

Paynes Chocolate Brazils are the way to go!

lemongrove Fri 07-Dec-18 15:02:46

None of them, all sweet and sickly, so much sugar in them and less chocolate.

Another vote here for the purple one followed closely by the green one!

Jane10 Fri 07-Dec-18 13:56:31

Is it me or are they sort of sicklier than they used to be?

JessieW Fri 07-Dec-18 13:29:22

Blue coconut followed by the purple caramel and hazelnut. Mmmmmm

Jane10 Fri 07-Dec-18 12:10:33

Hotel Chocolat has spoiled me for Quality Street and Roses. sad

humptydumpty Fri 07-Dec-18 12:02:15

purple followed by green triangle followed by coffee!

Craftycat Fri 07-Dec-18 11:38:49

I am that person - I love the coffee ones!!! I get loads that way too.

Emma49 Fri 07-Dec-18 11:07:01

Fudge one.

Twopence Fri 07-Dec-18 10:45:04

Definitely the purple one but any is better than none.

Larissa67 Fri 07-Dec-18 10:23:38

Am I dreaming of did I read of a pack on sale called the big purple one with just these aristocrats of the chocolate world? I remember being so disappointed as a child if someone else nabbed them first though the gold wrapped toffee was a consolation prize.

JessK Fri 07-Dec-18 10:13:44

It has to be the purple one or any of the others with nuts in.

MissAdventure Fri 07-Dec-18 09:27:13

I prefer Roses.
They have the lovely hazelnut whirl.

Karanlouise Fri 07-Dec-18 09:25:32

Green triangle, followed by any chocolate toffee ones, not good for the teeth though. tchsmile

Pittcity Fri 07-Dec-18 08:03:45

DH votes for the purple one.

harrigran Fri 07-Dec-18 07:58:59

None, they are all horrible.

HillyN Thu 06-Dec-18 23:16:09

Another vote for the purple one, closely followed by the coconut one. My DH and I are ideally suited- he likes all the creams and I like all the nut/toffee ones!

Bellanonna Thu 06-Dec-18 23:11:04

Green triangle then the pink-wrapped fudge

M0nica Thu 06-Dec-18 23:05:38

I used to like the round flat toffees, but I do not think they include those anymore. sad

To be fair, I cannot remember when I last ate any sweets, let alone Quality Street. Easter?

joannapiano Thu 06-Dec-18 22:04:11

Just eaten a coffee one. It was rather nice. Toffee ones loosen my denture.
