AIBU I’m new to gransnet - What would you do if your grandchildren came back from a visit with their father and his girlfriend on Boxing Day with blue and pink hair? The DGDs are aged two and seven. I’m so ?

You could always shave their heads like my friend's ex SiL did to her two DGSs just before dropping them off at her 60th birthday bash.

Only one possible outcome..... after 24 hours their heads will explode.

I think if the product has not washed out after two shampoos then the girlfriend used inappropriate products for a child. Its up to your DD to agree some ground rules with ex, not easy but thoughtlessness can escalate, there is also the issue of how safe the products are if not designed for use on children.

How bored do you have to be to find it amusing?

Farmor15 Fri 28-Dec-18 22:29:14

What do the children themselves think about their hair? If they’re not upset by it, best ignore. Not permanent - no harm done, only annoying.

Oh I don't get it. Somebody was pregnant and then had a sister and then dyed their hair?

7th January! ?
Oh Lord, 10 more days ?

ProudNanna Fri 28-Dec-18 22:23:45

Should read Floozy. Slang for a disreputable woman, or, the young woman SiL had an affair with while DD was pregnant. Take your pick.

Lisagran Fri 28-Dec-18 22:20:55

That wasn’t to you, oldbatty - though I expect a floozy can be persistent......

Mapleleaf Fri 28-Dec-18 22:20:42

7th January! ?

Farmor15 Fri 28-Dec-18 22:20:36

I’d spell it “floozy” but it’s one of those words you’re more likely to say than write so may have different spellings.

Lisagran Fri 28-Dec-18 22:19:35

Persistent............

oldbatty Fri 28-Dec-18 22:17:44

Whats a Fluzy

ProudNanna Fri 28-Dec-18 22:13:57

DD is angry but too intimidated by ex. SiL’s Fluzy is 10 years younger, of course, and treats the DGDs like dollies. I cant see anything right in dying a two year olds hair.

Bathsheba Fri 28-Dec-18 22:11:19

?
Anyone know when the January term starts?

Bellanonna Fri 28-Dec-18 22:06:21

Oh no, that’s bad, ProudNanna. Hope you don’t have to buy new clothes?

ProudNanna Fri 28-Dec-18 21:54:27

Two washes and still didn’t come out. its some sort of spray. Came off alright on the children’s hands and clothes though!
