Ok, Im nearly 69, and am still in possession of all my pubic hair. - but it seems that modern fashion means we should all be naked as the day we were born! From what I read/see etc online in the papers, TV, nearly all younger women have decided that pubic hair is no longer in vogue!! My dilemma is ,as far as medical stuff goes, I feel a bit foolish (and dare I say it-dirty) for still having mine!! Most of the nursing staff, doctors etc are much younger, and I feel they may look at me in a "grubby" way when I have been in hospital etc. Do any of you older ladies still have what god intended ??

Oh Lisagran you thinking it might be a ..... well ummmm now there’s a thought even more hilarious ?

Lisagran Mon 31-Dec-18 19:00:58

“ a very sexually confidant woman, Bluebelle ?

MissAdventure Mon 31-Dec-18 18:57:25

Well, I have to say I've often wondered..

BlueBelle Mon 31-Dec-18 18:56:03

Sorry don’t buy the genuine concern at all it was a very sexually confident woman who wasn’t in the least bit concerned she wanted to throw a bit of a firework into the cauldron ????

Atqui Mon 31-Dec-18 18:13:32

There are often threads that don’t interest me, so I don’t pursue them. My point is that one or two people were judgemental and condescending about this one, yet continued to read it. There was no harm in it , even if the opening line unusual, and the woman who opened the thread had a genuine concern, given young peoples current obsession with 0 body hair

Lordy lemon, I thought you were referring to your good self there for a moment.

MawBroon Mon 31-Dec-18 17:57:50

Not unworthy perhaps unwise ?

lemongrove Mon 31-Dec-18 17:40:14

I don’t know about you Atqui but I can never imagibe starting a thread with the OP ‘ok, am nearly 69 and am still in possession of all my pubic hair’ !!
In possession of my wits, or my teeth or the hair on my head maybe.
seacliff yes! Caution is needed.

Bellanonna Mon 31-Dec-18 17:39:02

I think you’ll find that posts tend to wander, Atqui ?

Atqui Mon 31-Dec-18 17:22:39

I hope Ladyinspain will not have been put off posting on Gransnet , by people who consider her post unworthy (yet continue to contribute to them on page 5)

Bellanonna Mon 31-Dec-18 10:26:19

Anno that was hilarious wasn’t it! A whole new meaning to Hollywood!

annodomini Mon 31-Dec-18 10:11:23

Read (if you haven't already) Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. When you reach the episode in the beauty salon, you will fall off your perch laughing. That's all I have to say!

seacliff Mon 31-Dec-18 09:58:11

Please all of you, read posts from new posters with a little bit of caution, and if in doubt IGNORE. They would soon get fed up if they got no replies, instead of being on page 5. We play into their hands.

Grannybags Mon 31-Dec-18 09:13:08

Well said Bluebell

petra Mon 31-Dec-18 08:52:44

BlueBelle
????

BlueBelle Mon 31-Dec-18 07:34:47

Some people take these threads so seriously
Would a 69 year old grandmother really have nothing else to write about other than her bushy bush, who cares whether she’s got a forest with a squirrel in it or a bald eagle
So ladyinspain has full possession of her pubic hair I m ecstatic we have another new poster who has such good luck to have wonderful ‘muscle control’ of her boobs and a fantastic sex drive
I m so excited I can barely get my breathe ?

agnurse Mon 31-Dec-18 05:29:02

Nurse here, and it's not something I worry about.

Pubic hair is there to help protect your body from infections and foreign bodies. Removing it decreases that protection.

notanan2 Sun 30-Dec-18 22:23:04

Don't worry, apparently some young'uns are now being "alternative" and wearing it long and acting like they invented pubes so...

You are ahead of the trend! Lol

Lollin Sun 30-Dec-18 21:37:11

Chewbacca
I think mapleleaf was referring to the date the children go back to school grin

Chewbacca Sun 30-Dec-18 21:24:31

Ah! blush

Mapleleaf Sun 30-Dec-18 21:22:44

them, not thems!

Mapleleaf Sun 30-Dec-18 21:22:11

Nothing at all, Chewbacca. Shall we just say that it marks the end of the Christmas vacation for many of the younger population and those who have to work with thems! ?

Mapleleaf Sun 30-Dec-18 21:19:18

Thanks, Lisagran.
I have to say, having read through a lot of the replies after I posted, there are some very witty and amusing responses, which had me laughing out loud, so I suppose I should thank the first poster for posting! ??

Chewbacca Sun 30-Dec-18 21:18:33
