Ok, Im nearly 69, and am still in possession of all my pubic hair. - but it seems that modern fashion means we should all be naked as the day we were born! From what I read/see etc online in the papers, TV, nearly all younger women have decided that pubic hair is no longer in vogue!! My dilemma is ,as far as medical stuff goes, I feel a bit foolish (and dare I say it-dirty) for still having mine!! Most of the nursing staff, doctors etc are much younger, and I feel they may look at me in a "grubby" way when I have been in hospital etc. Do any of you older ladies still have what god intended ??

OurKid1 In answer to your question. I am 74. Not as much foliage as when I was 40, but still quite acceptable. It still needs a short front and sides occasionally. ✂️

Lazigirl Sun 30-Dec-18 18:31:34

I don't know whether you were serious in your post LofS but I think it has caused (understandably) much light hearted fun on here. However it is something I have thought about, when I have needed an intimate examination, and I agree it seems the norm for younger people to remove pubic hair - an unfortunate fashion originating from the porn industry I believe. I would not like to work in a beauty salon and have to wax pubes on a regular basis, but hey it's just another bit of the body, common to all, at the end of the day smile.

I can’t think why anyone should complain about this thread I f you don’t like it don’t read any more of it.I have often wondered the same thing myself , especially after reading a letter to an agony aunt about a new younger lover who dumped the woman in question cos her “personal grooming” was not what he expected. Hopefully the medics in our NHS will have gained their knowledge of the female body during their training and not from porn sites.

Buffybee Sun 30-Dec-18 18:11:01

I think we've had some great replies on this thread.
I especially liked Maw's fairy lights <<on my bush at the front>> ?
And Anno's not needing a tea bag as, <<she had a Red Bush>>
Brightened my day, anyway!

Bridgeit Sun 30-Dec-18 17:54:44

I think it’s good to keep any entrance/exit well mowed & tidy ,surely no need to obliterate altogether though, it could lead to surface damage!
