Ok, Im nearly 69, and am still in possession of all my pubic hair. - but it seems that modern fashion means we should all be naked as the day we were born! From what I read/see etc online in the papers, TV, nearly all younger women have decided that pubic hair is no longer in vogue!! My dilemma is ,as far as medical stuff goes, I feel a bit foolish (and dare I say it-dirty) for still having mine!! Most of the nursing staff, doctors etc are much younger, and I feel they may look at me in a "grubby" way when I have been in hospital etc. Do any of you older ladies still have what god intended ??

I haven't seen my "down there" for some time now. It seems to have tucked itself away under my tummy.

Good point Nankate but I hope I have not contributed to your decision sad

A propos of not very much.
Many years ago I bought our first set of outdoor Christmas lights , planning to put them in the pyracantha at the front door.
I was telling a friend on the phone about these and when she innocently asked where I was going to put them I cannot to this day think what possessed me to reply “in my bush at the front”
The silence was deafening then I heard her shriek to her OH “Toneeee, you’ll never guess where Maw is putting her fairy lights” grin
I still get asked why I am walking funny at Christmas blush

This same question was asked on Mumsnet and quite a few Doctors and Nurses replied saying that they wouldn't even notice if patients had body hair or not and that they are professional people just getting in with their jobs.
You must shower of course before any surgery or intimate examination.

Trends come and go, personally I've always trimmed my pubes to be short and neat. I really doubt any Doctor or Nurse is going to give any patients pubes much thought unless the patient is so hairy the doctor or nurse could disappear from view and require a search party to find them.

If cutting back any shrub or bush, try to avoid any clematis that might be hidden amongst the foliage.

Love your response Kitty grin

I'd like to agree with you, Bluebelle but I'm still picking lead shot out of my backside from this morning.

PECS Sat 29-Dec-18 17:52:59

This thread reminds me of an occassion when a very prim headteacher was discussing how she liked the bushes at her front to be neatly trimmed so as not to catch the postman. Us silly young teachers nearly wet our pants! ???

Smiley4 Sat 29-Dec-18 17:45:48

We are too old and should be past caring what anyone thinks. Imagine the pressure on 20 year olds! Smile, and get in with your life ?

Beau Sat 29-Dec-18 17:41:59

?

Cherrytree59 Sat 29-Dec-18 17:37:44

I prefer a neatly trimmed purple bush.
As it's at the front DH has added a few festive bits?

Beau Sat 29-Dec-18 17:36:39

Well said PECS - I worry about this generation and their strange desire to look pre-pubescent.

PECS Sat 29-Dec-18 17:31:48

If you shower before your hospital appointment you won't be dirty! Our pubic hair is there to protect our delicate "bits & pits" ..so by exfoliating the area people are more liable to infection than a hairy mary that is washed daily!

BlueBelle Sat 29-Dec-18 17:31:02

Ohhh here we go, here we go, here we go again

trisher Sat 29-Dec-18 17:06:42

You don't watch the right programmes- try Naked Attraction. (I discovered it through Gogglebox- but I've never managed to watch a whole episode) Warning- it's not for the faint hearted!

Chewbacca Sat 29-Dec-18 17:06:24

I'm bored now.

BBbevan Sat 29-Dec-18 17:04:31

Thread flowers through it Look at the Peter Blake painting of Titania for ideas .

Lisagran Sat 29-Dec-18 17:00:39

I agree Anniebach

Bridgeit Sat 29-Dec-18 16:52:02

It’s there for a reason, but sometimes needs a trim just like any other bush
